has anyone ever tried to find someone you lost touch with?

Im trying to find my father but the only info i have for him is his name which is Dewayne Lee Holbrook and that he is around the age of 43. I also know that he once lived here in Evansville and then moved to california but that was years ago.

does anyone know how i could find him? I have come across several websites that will do a background check or what not for a price but
I dont know whether or not they are scams or not ya know..

one site was zabasearch.com and the other was anywho.com

has anyone had any experience in trying to locate a lost relative or friend?

Two sites that I've had good results with are 1800ussearch.com and docusearch.com. There are no guarantees with any of these companies, though, and you can end up spending quite a bit of money for nothing.

There are also websites you can register with that will allow you to search public records for someone. Of course, you have to pay, but the prices haven't been too horrible (at least the ones I've seen.)

try ttyping hsi name with a plus sign and then the city or state you think he's in in the google search box. I've had luck with it sometimes.

But what if the person you're looking for is in another country? I know a person I'm trying to find is in New Zealand, and I haven't seen her in ten years.

No, I have not had to search for someone.
